Mangalore: The Mangalore Headmasters and Principals' Association held its annual general meeting held in the Rosario Cultural Hall last week.
It was chaired by Shri Ramakrishna High School headmistress Usha Ballal. The Association incorporates 189 member schools of Mangalore city range, Mangalore taluk and Moodbidri hobli. The chairperson welcomed the gathering and thanked the members for their co-operation during the previous year. Secretary and treasurer and Cascia High School headmaster Fr Lawrence D'Souza read out the report and presented the annual budget.
Badria College principal Dr Ismail and team conducted the election of new president and office-bearers. The following were unanimously elected.

Sr Cecilia Mendonca proposed a vote of thanks.
Aloysius D'Souza holds MA in Economics and B Ed degrees. He joined service in 1984 and has 27 years of teaching service. He was appointed headmaster of Rosario on April 1, 2007. He is a member of the Konkani textbook committee. He has received the Best Teacher Award in 2008 and won many prizes in acting and elocution. He is also well known in education, literary and cultural circles of the region.
