Kundapur: Lavina Mendonca, resident of Gangolli post office locality, ended her life by hanging herself from the ceiling fan with a sari.

She is said to have suffered from depression and epilepsy from childhood. She also lost her husband some time ago. Ever since her condition had worsened, said sources.

The Gangolli police have registered a case.
