Team Mangalorean Udupi

Udupi: July 1 being Press Day, it will be celebrated by Udupi District Working Journalists' Association in Brahmagiri IMA Bhavana, said Kiran Manjanbail,  president of the association. He was speaking to mediapersons in the press club here on Tuesday June 26.

Asha Krishnaswamy, special correspondent of Deccan Herald, Banglaore will inaugurate the programme.  Superintendent of police Dr Boralingaigh will be the chief guest. S K Shyam Sunder, editor of oneindia.com  will give a special lecture on this occasion.   The function will be presided over by Kiran Manjanbail.

An interaction with S K Shyam Sunder will be held on this occasion.  An essay competition will be held for students on the day and prizes will be awarded. Photographs clicked by the members of the  Udupi Working Journalists Association will be exhibited. 

After the programme, Tulu film 'Bhagya', directed by Katapady Prakash Suvarna, will be screened.

Secretary Jayakar Suvarna and treasurer Umesh Marpalli were present on the occasion.
