Kundapur: The Campus Front of India (CFI) Kundapur unit organized a protest here on Tuesday June 26 against the BJP state president K S Eshwarappa and education minister Vishweshwara Hegde Kageri’s statements of saffronizing the educational system in the state .
Munavar Malpe, district secretary of Campus Front of India addressing the protesters said, "Eshwarappa who knows nothing about education and its values, should stop issuing confusing statements. The BJP government is trying to saffronize the education system. Eishwarappa is trying to inject communal thinking among the students. This is against our Constitution and we condemn his irresponsible statement. He is trying to destroy the value and importance of the education. Our organization will resort to a statewide protest if Eshwarappa does not take back his statement."
The protesters formed a human chain at the Shastri circle here to demonstrate against the irresponsible statements from BJP leaders aimed at destroying the values of education in the garb of saffronization. CFI took strong objections to Eshwarappa's intentions of planting communal feelings amongst the students. After holding the protest, they submitted a memorandum to the governor through the DC.
CFI district vice president Vahab Muloor, district secretary Sahil Gangolli, Kundapur zone president Nihan Kundapur, General Secretary Mubasheer Gangolli, Secretary Rayon Gangolli, Sabil Kundapur and office bearers were too part in the protest. Wahab Muloor gave introductory remarks. Sahil Gangolli anchored the programme.
