Team Mangalorean - Chikmagalur

Chikmagalur: A property dispute led a son to kill his own mother in Ganadalu village of Chikmagalur here on June 27.

Gangamma(60), a resident of Ganadalu, is the victim. Her son Shantakumar(40) is said to have murdered her.  The accused was under the influence of alcohol. After an argument over property matter, he picked up a stone and battered her on her head.

She reportedly died on the spot. The culprit escaped immediately.  Chikmagalur DySP Vedamoorti visited the crime scene and inspected it along with the police dog squad. The police have managed to nab the killer even after he fled the scene.
