Bantwal: Two workers had been washed away at the work site of a vented dam across Kesottu rivulet in Pilimogaru village two days ago.

Sumati Shetty's body was not found while that of Shekhar Poojary who jumped to save her had been found in the evening.

Sumati's body was found about a kilometre away from the spot of mishap around 9 am on Friday, June 22.

Tahsildar Anand Nayak said that suitable compensation would be paid to the family, after the post-mortem report is received.
