Sullia: A group of employees of Shri Kukke Subrahmanya temple in Subrahmanya were caught red-handed while having a drinking session in the Ashlesha guest house of the temple earlier this week. The session was in progress in the laundry section of the guest house. Four persons were caught with liquor bottles and six glasses filled up. Two others had managed to flee.

Temple management committee president Krishnaprasad Madtila told our correspondent that such lapses had been going on for some time and the new committee was resolved to set them right. A tender has been called for the purchase of alcohol detection unit. Anyone found consuming liquor during duty hours would be seriously dealt with, he said.
