Udupi: Corporation Bank, in association with Indian Medical Association, Udupi – Karavali organized ' Doctors Day Celebrations' at IMA Bhavan, Brahmagiri, Udupi on July 01, 2012.

Dr. M T Reju, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Udupi District was the Chief Guest, and Shri Ajai Kumar, Chairman & Managing Director of the Corporation Bank presided over the function.

A large number of doctors and their families attended the function. A brief presentation on the Bank’s products and “Corp Doctor Plus” was made to the gathering. The Indian Medical Association, Udupi – Karavali honoured two of its veteran members, Dr Ramakrishna Acharya and Dr Sukhananada Shenoy on the occasion.

Dr M T Reju, Deputy Commissioner, Udupi District complimented the doctors for their tremendous service to the humanity and called for a professional approach in dealing with the patients.

Speaking on the occasion Shri Ajai Kumar, Chairman & Managing Director of the Bank said “Corporation Bank has always been in forefront in launching customer centric products and services, using the latest Information Technology and with a hassle free delivery system. For the medical fraternity, the Bank has specially introduced 'Corp Doctor Plus'. He appreciated the selfless service rendered by doctors community in Udupi District and said that the patients get best treatment at minimum cost in coastal Karnataka

Under the 'Corp Doctor Plus' scheme, doctors can obtain finance for setting up of Clinics / Hospitals / Pathology Labs and purchase of Electro Medical Equipments. Any registered medical practitioner, dentist, physiotherapist or clinic/firm managed by Doctors can apply for the loan. The loans are made available on liberal terms.

Dr. K Satish Kamath, President, and Mr Umesh Nayak, Secretary, Indian Medical Association, Udupi – Karavali and N Manjunatha Shenoy, Asst. General Manager and Zonal Head of Corporation Bank - Udupi Zone were present on the occasion.

Dr Satish Kamath, President of IMA Udupi, welcomed the gathering and Shri Devaraj N Acharya, Chief Manager, Corporation Bank introduced the guests. Shri N Manujath Shenoy, Asst. General Manager, Corporation Bank, Udupi proposed the vote of thanks.
