Vittal: Nine people have been arrested, following a love affair case near Kodapadavu in Vittal. A resident of Kuddhupadav, Shareef (23) and Sapnaz (16) residing in Kalladka, were both travelling in a car while they were stopped by Ismail Jamal, Isubu a resident of Kodapadavu, Sulaiman, Sadiq a resident of Kodangai. A case was registered against them for having stopped the car and Ismail Jamal has been arrested by the Vittal police in this regard.

There has also been a case registered in the Vittal police station against the residents of Kalladka namely Shaheed, Kasim, Najib Rehman, Harris, Nazeer accused of kidnapping Mahammed Shareef from Ummar's residence in Koapadavu after they broke into the main door.

The above accused are said to have attacked Mohammed Shareef and Sapnaz after stopping the car that they were travelling from B C Road from Vittal. Then they have broken into Ummar's house through the main door and kidnapped Shareef who was inside. Shareef and his father Ibrahim have filed a complaint in the Vittal Police Station on Sunday.

Ibrahim's son Mahammed Sharief and KC Road resident Bava's daughter Sapnaz have been in love for the past one year. They had planned to elope on Saturday after thier packing was done. On this occasion the local boys followed them and stopped their car near Kodapadavu. Later when the two families confronted each other, Sharief denied about the love affair and had twisted the tale saying that they were just friends, and was not  getting married to Sapnaz.

The girl told the mediators that Sharief had promised to get married to her. With this background, the girl's family said to have taken the Sharief's case by taking him to Kalladka with a plan to get him married to Sapnaz . It is said by the girl's family that the Vittal police took him to the Vittal Police station for investigation about the Kidnapping case.

While the boy's family have another story to say, the group of locals who identified the couple during the elopement, demanded one lakh rupees. Sharief is said to have refused to pay the amount, and therefore was tied up and was surrendered to these local youths of Kalladka for kidnapping him.

This case is seeing fresh twists everyday . The latest coming from the girl's family, Sharief was ready to get married to Sapnaz on the night of Saturday, to which even Sharief had agreed.
