Chikmagalur: A shocking story of a mentally challenged girl of 14 years having been sexually abused for about five to six months by three men has been reported from Dharaguni village in the taluk.

The girl's parents work in a coffee estate. In their absence, Manjunath, Ramaiah and Krishna, used to threaten the girl, take her to a plantation nearby and sexually assault her regularly over the past months.

The matter came to light only after the girl got pregnant. In their complaint to the rural police, the parents have stated that they have received threat to their lives in the event of their reporting the matter.
