Moodbidri: At the gram sabha session held in Puttige panchayat with president Shashidhar Nayak in the chair on Saturday, zilla panchayat member Sunita Sucharita Shetty gave notice of a resolution seeking revocation of the notification bringing the panchatyat under the ambit of Mangalore Urban Development Authority (MUDA).

She said that since the area was under rural category, hardships are being faced in granting licences to the poor people's houses and permission for layouts and sites. She wanted tahsidar Muralidhar to pass necessary order to revert the village to the rural categoy outside MUDA.

The tahsildar said that the matter was out of his jurisdiction and discretion and asked the ZP member to approach the MUDA direct and seek a solution to their demand.
