Team Mangalorean - Crime Beat

Mangalore: Shridhar Rao (41) of Bollaje, Krishnapura on the outskirts of the city, was looted of articles worth Rs 48,000 while he was travelling in a bus from the city to Raichur on July 7.

In a complaint to the police, he said a co-passenger befriended him and on the way offered him a soft drink, which he drank. He slipped into deep sleep and woke up only when the bus reached Raichur on July 8. He realized that he had been relieved of a gold chain, a ring and Rs 15,000 in cash.

The Barke police have registered the complaint.
