Udupi: Kadekar mandal panchayat's former president, Babbuswami daivasthana's managing trustee and Dalit Sangharsh Samiti leader Ananda Bangera (55), died of a heart attack on Wednesday, July 11 night.

He had served in many organization and was known for his selfless service to the society. He is survived by wife and a son.

Other Dalit leaders like Jayan Malpe, Sundari Puttur, Ganesh Nergi, Vithal Thottam, Sundara Kappettu and others have condoled his death.
