Mangalore: Loss of human life has become common in MRPL now.  Many accidental deaths have occurred in Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited in recent years. It is a question whether the employees are made to follow the safety measures or not?

Meghanath aged 26 hailing from Madhya Pradesh, who had joined MRPL on contract basis last month lost his life when he was working in the plant.

The incident took place, when Meghnath was fixing a filter in one of the chimney. Even though the fan in the chimney was switched off the fan began to move and crushed Meghanath. 

The reason of the incident is not known, a case has been registered and investigation is going on.
