Team Mangalorean, Karkal

Karkal: Rashmi (5) and Rajaneesh (3), the children of Ramesh and Mamatha faced a tragic death, when they both got drowned in a percolation pond at Murathangadi in Sanoor village of Karkal, while they were playing. The percolation ponds were dug by the Watershed Department near Cikkalabettukere, and too bad, there was no retaining wall around the ponds.

Since that children's parents had some marital dispute, they were were left in the house of Mamatha’s parents, and the couple had planned to take kids back to their home on Monday. A case has been registered at the local police station.
