Udupi: ‘Lab to land’ Implemented in Udupi and Kundapur

Udupi: After successful implementation of the project in Karkala taluk, the Union Ministry of Rural Development has decided to implement ' Lab and Land Programme ' in Udupi and Kunadapur. The government had also implemented the project on a pilot basis in Karkala, Mandya and Davangere.

“Lab to land” is a recent project implemented by the UPA government to communicate with the people in every nook and corner of the society through the volunteers and make them to seek the benefits of the development programmes. The main objective of the project is to create awareness among the rural people who are not knowledgeable about the various  beneficiary programmes undertaken by both the State and the Central government. This project is handled by the Department of Rural Development.

Volunteers are selected for the job for creating awareness among rural folks, however, the mandatory qualification for the post of volunteers is their interest to serve the community. According to sources it is learned that ,Bharath Nirman volunteers will be selected and given intensive and thorough training
