Karwar: For the invigilators at the examination centre for selection of teachers here on Sunday, there was momentary confusion.

The list of candidates arrived at the government high school here and the overseeing staff were surprised to see the photograph of Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai's photograph included against no. 2199534. But the name of the candidate was of a male, Narayana Gonda.

Upon enquiries, it was revealed that the candidate did not turn up at all. Even his address appeared to be a fake one. In all it appeared to be a prank played by a miscreant by uploading Aish's photograph. How it escaped the attention at the stage of compiling the list is not escaped.

Karwar DDPI said that the matter was brought to the attention of the official in charge of the examination, S Jayakumar.
