Team Mangalorean - Bantwal

Bantwal: Mahesh Gowda (46), resident of Malebavu in Navoor village, died of a fall from a tree on Sunday, July 15.

He had climbed on top of an areca tree and plucking a coconut tree next to it by using a bamboo stick. The areca tree trunk is said to have broken and he fell off it to the ground. He is reported to have died on the spot.

The Bantwal rural police have registered a case based on a complaint from Seetarama Gowda.
