Bhatkal: Ramachandra Masti Naik (32), resident of Gummanahaklu near Murudeshwar, was killed when a lorry knocked his bicycle down from behind at Mavinakatte near Shirali in the taluk on Saturday evening around 8-30.

He was a daily wage-earner and was returning from work. Although it was a hit-and-run case, the public chased the lorry and stopped it at Basti. The police arrested the driver and seized the lorry.
