Uppinangady: Cases have been registered against fifteen students by Kadaba police, for staging a protest in front of Sri Ramakunjeshwara First Grade College (RFGC) at Ramakunja near Uppinangady. The students were protesting demanding to allow Muslim girls to wear ' Hijab ' (headscarf) inside classroom. The college authorities had imposed a ban on wearing headscarfs inside the class by Muslim women students.

The students were arrested by the police as per the complaints filed by the Principal of RFGC. According to reports, the principal had alleged that the students were shouting indecent slogans against the college authorities, and were also disturbing the ongoing classes. The students have been agitating since July 12, against the college's new law prohibiting Muslim women from wearing ' Hijab ' in classrooms.

This is unfortunate that the minorities in India has always been discriminated and we Muslims are not being allowed to profess ur fundamental right of religion and it very bad for India and its secular identity is uprooted because all the new laws are formed against us so stop this otherwise we will agitate against this
