Mangalore: Popular Front of India (PFI) will offer scholarships in the form of interest -free loans to students, who want to pursue higher education after the completion of PUC, across the nation.

All students, who decide to join professional courses and other higher education courses during the academic year 2012-13, will be benefited by this scheme. There is no rush to repay the loan back, because candidates, who obtain the loan, can repay it only after two years of the completion of their courses.

According to sources, it is stated that students may start repaying the loan in easy installments.  However, students should start repaying the loan if they get job early. If repayment is done on regularly and on time, based on that PFI will offer more loans in future too.

Loans will also be sanctioned to students belonging to economically weaker sections, who were not able to join professional courses. Those who pursue graduation, post graduation, diploma or any other short term course too may apply for the scheme benefit.  The last date to submit applications is August 20.
