Udupi: Former Minister and BSR Congress leader B. Sriramulu will take out a ‘Swabhimani Yatra’ from Karwar on July 29. The 'yatra' will conclude at Ramanagar on August 5, said K P Dinesh Distinct Level Leader of the party.
Addressing press people assembled at the press club on Friday July 27, 2012 Dinesh said that, on August 1, while the yatra leaves for Manipal via Karkala, a huge convention will be held in Udupi Chittaranjan Circle. Sriramulu, founder of BSR Party, actress Rakshitha; MP’s Shantha and Fakeerappa, MLA Somashekar Reddi, Suresh Babu, Mritunjaya Jinagi will also join in the 'yatra', he said.
The aim of the yatra was to understand the problems of the people in coastal Karnataka and malanad areas. He said the BSR Congress was formed on the plank of equality, equal opportunity and united Karnataka. The yatra which will cover about 1,300 km of areas, will help to understand the problems of the people in those regions. Meetings would be held in all taluk and district headquarters on the yatra route. On August 5, a massive rally would be held in Ramanagar near Bangalore. he said.
