Bantwal: Thieves these days normally have high tastes and aim at expensive things. However a case of theft that took place in Farangipet town in the taluk proved the opposite.

A fancy goods and gift shop belonging to Mohammed Sanaulla was broken into two days ago by thieves. The prominent things lifted were rolled-gold jewellery and what are popularly referred to as fancy goods. The exact value of the stock stolen is yet to be assessed.

But what is more curious is that the shop is situated exactly opposite the police outpost in Farangipet, wherein they are on duty round the clock. How this theft escaped their notice is the question bothering many shop-keepers here.
