Manipal: The Social Service Forum of Manipal Institute of Management, organized a program on Environmental Awareness and Healthcare Awareness at Vishnumoorthy High school, Kudi, Kodibettu on July 28, 2012. The objective of the program was to create awareness on the importance of environmental protection and the program also focused on creating a culture of preventive healthcare among high school children.

The students were also engaged in leadership and team building games to enhance their interpersonal skills. Vasanthkumar Shetty, the Headmaster of Vishnumoorthy High school inaugurated the program. Dr. K. V. M. Varambaly, the faculty Coordinator of the programme, welcomed the gathering. Dr. Varambally spoke on the need for environmental awareness. Prof. P. Ramakrishna Chadaga, the Director of the Institute explained the need for sustainable development. Mr. Jayanth , student coordinator of Social Service forum, compered the program.
