Karkala : “Engineering is to be learnt by doing. To do something new highly effective thinking is essential and engineers need to develop and analyze their thinking to get successful results”  said Dr. Anand Narayan Head, SELCO Labs, SELCO Foundation, Bangalore, while inaugurating 3-Day’ Faculty Development Programme organized by Electrical and Electronics Department of NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte, on'Signal Processing Architecture With Microcontroller Features'. 
 

Principal Dr. Niranjan N. Chiplunkar in his presidential address said,"  Now a days communication devices are compact wherein signal processing units and control applications such as audio, video etc., are needed to be integrated in a single core. It is also needed to extract multiple data with a single instruction which requires signal processing architecture. In this direction, to tackle the problem of integration, this Faculty Development Programme is meaningful and the teachers who are taking part in this programme should share their knowledge with their students to educate them in this current area of interest".
 
Prof. K.Vasudeva Shettigar, convener of FDP and Head of the Department welcomed the gathering and spoke about the scope and objectives of the training programme . Prof. Prakash N.K, Coordinator introduced the chief guest and gave the programme schedule for three days. Raghavendra Prabhu co- coordinator proposed the vote of thanks. Raksha Vishwanath compered the programme.More than 80 faculty and large number of M.Tech students  from various Engineering Institutes from Karnataka and neighboring states are taking part in this programme
