Kundapur: The Brahmavar police arrested eleven persons on the charge of gambling and seized Rs. 3.30 lakhs, in Thekkatee – Korgi Village of Udupiu distirct on Thursday August 2.

The raid was conducted after getting a tip-off  that a house owned by Rathnakar Shetty of Korgi village, was conducting gambling business at his residence.. The accused caught during their gambling spree have been identified as Rathanakar Shetty, Ganapathi Hattiyangadi, Chandrashekar Thekkatte, Devadaas Chanthar, Sathish Hegde Chanthar, Santhosh Belve, Muralidhar Pai Kota, Sudesh Shetty Aankadakatte, Raviraj Hanglur, Sathish Shetty Kedur, Rajesh Kundapur.

The raid led by DySP Prabhudev Mane, was accompanied by  Brahmavar Circle inspector, and Kota police station officers, who all took part in the operation. A case has been registered and the accused have been remanded in judicial custody.
