Udupi: Burglars Loot Gold and Cash From Bhajan Mandir

Udupi: Burglars don't even care where they decide to loot, it could be homes , businesses, and for that matter, even religious places. Here is one such incident that took place at Thottam in Kodavoor village on Saturday, August 11, 2012.

Thieves broke into a Bhajan Mandir and got away with gold ornaments and cash. According to Malpe police station, where the burglary location comes under their station limits, the thieves had entered the Sri Pandarinath Bhakti Uday Bhajan Mandir overnight and decamped with the gold ornaments worth Rs. 55,000, and  they also took Rs.1500 from the "hundi" of the Mandir. Malpe police have registered a case, and the investigation is in progress.
