Mangalore: The Scholarship Distribution Ceremony in association with Shri Guru Charitable Trust and Oman Billawas, Muscat was held at Sri Vishwanath Kalyana Mantapa, Sri Gokarnanath Temple, Kudroli in Mangalore recently.

The event commenced with a Training Programme conducted by the renowned teachers  Appu Master Katpady and Adve Ravindra Poojary. They guided the students on taking the right path and inculcate the right attitude and moral values in them, so that, they would be better citizens. Around 300 students and parents from different educational sections of society attended the function.

The Training Programme was followed by the Scholarship Distribution Ceremony which was presided over by Vishwanath Amin, President, Sri Guru Charitable Trust;  H.S. Sairam, Managing Trustee, Sri Gokarnatheshwara Temple;  S.K. Poojary and  Umesh Bantwal, Vice Presidents, Oman Billawas;  Suchethna Anchan, Cultural Secretary, Oman Billawas;  Suhan H., Member, Community Welfare and Scholarships, Oman Billawas;  Gangadhar S. Poojary, Member, Cultural Wing, Oman Billawas;  A. Krishnappa Poojary, Principal, Sri Gurudev PU College Belthangady;  Ganesh Bangera, G.B. Builders, Mangalore and  Chandrashekar Nanil, Vice President, GTT .

Addressing the gathering, after lighting the traditional lamp, S. K. Poojary urged the students to utilize the Scholarships in a proper way. Krishnappa Poojary enlightened the students with his knowledge about the facts of life. He praised the commitment and dedication of the members of Sri Guru Charitable Trust and also the valuable support received from Oman Billawas for the betterment of the needy students.

The Scholarships were distributed by the Chief Guests and Donors with a wish that the students would prosper in life.The Programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by  Seetharam, Secretary, Sri Guru Charitable Trust.
