Mangalore: Canara High School - CBSE Celebrates I-Day

Mangalore: Canara High School-CBSE, celebrated the Independence Day at the school premises here on August 15.

A national integration song was sung by the students. Correspondent Shri Kochikar Sudhakar Pai, hoisted the National flag. The National Anthem was sung by the students.

Patriotic Songs were sung by the students which brought about a sense of patriotism and love towards the country. Certificates were distributed to prize winners of various competitions. A spectacular dance depicting various elements of patriotism was the highlight of the day.

Ramesh Kedilaya, Advisor of the school, spoke about oneness among the students of the school. He said that inspite of diversity in religion, culture and language, all are one. He said it was important to feel the zeal of patriotism for the country. He also said that one student plus another makes a class. One class plus another class makes a school. Likewise one state plus another state makes one big nation. Therefore it is necessary to show that all of us are one and India is our Mother.
