Udupi; A woman from Kappettupade in Ambalapady who had lost her husband two years ago and was hence living with her mother in Kidiyoor has filed a complaint against her neighbour Lokesh Achary seeking action against him.

The complaint to the Malpe police states that Lokesh had sexually abused her during daytime when she was alone in the house eight months ago. He had threatened to throw acid on her if she mentioned this to anyone.

Scared by his threat and also fearing social stigma, she says she kept quiet since then. Subsequently, she got pregnant and delivered a stillborn child. After getting admitted to a hospital in Manipal, she took courage to file the complaint, she said.
