Fr. Walter has inspired us with his selfless contribution to the people of Mangalore far and near. As we travel abroad to make a living for some reason our tradition remains back in Mangalore. But it is in the back of our memory every song, hyms we sang for many many years of our childhood. After many years of absence from Mangalore, I was able to sing many of them and enjoyed them very much. I wish good health and long life to Fr. Walter albuquerque and many more to come. May the hundreds become crore voices to sing together with one spirit.

Thats a great deed of recording the hymns from "shembor Kanthigo" book. I wish that they will reprint this hymn book and start re-using it in the Churches in South Kanara.
This hymn book brings back my childhood memories, singing hymns with my mother and siblings everyday after the Rosary. Those were reallly the golden years of Christianity. There wasn't much to do than sing hymns under the kerosene lamp light.
