Mangalore Oct 14: Denis D'souza Resident Farla Parish Church in Bantwal Taluk was just 27 year old when tragedy struck him in 1992.  He was carrying the log of wood on his shoulder fell under the wood and broke his spinal cord and as a result paralysed below the waist.  

Though he spent 9 months in the hospital then, he was never able to walk or stand on his feet again.  Now he is 45 years old, and for the last 18 years his ageing mother nurses him.

Since few months his condition has been deteriorating due to the infection developing on his both legs and now he has been admitted to Fr Muller’s hospital Kankanady.   He has already received 3 units of blood and he is advised to undergo amputation above knee once his infection settles.  This might take a few months in the hospital. 

Unable to meet expenses Denis and his family sincerely appeal the readers of Mangalorean.com to give a helping hand to meet the expenses.
