Dubai Dec 1, 2010: Ehsan Hassan Ibrahim from our own Kudla is aiming to be Indian Carl Lewis at Olympics as he wins the super champion award in UAE. Ibrahim a class 12th student from Dubai Indian High School, made a new record in 100 meters and 200 meters meet at the 'UAE Our Own Inter School Athletics meet' held at the Dubai Police stadium. The success paved way to bag the super champion award at the meet, an achievement that will surely make him proud. Adding to his winnings he also won the gold medal in the long jump.

Sharing his son's joy, his enthusiastic dad Mr. Ibrahim Ummer Beary is all set to help Ehsan fulfill his dream. Unlike regular parents who aspire for their children to become software engineers or MBA graduates, Mr. Ibrahim would rather wish to see his son win at the Olympics. A born athlete, Ibrahim used to bring medals home from class 4th onwards in Athletics, Karate, Swimming and Cricket. Supporting Ehsan all the way since childhood when he first noticed his son's talent as he brought home his treasured winnings at the school athletics, Mr. Ibrahim has left no stone unturned in making sure that his son receives the best coaching he needs.

Mr Ibrahim was thankful to the coach Tapan Das of Indian High school where Ehsan studies and also to coaches Khamis, Esmail and Godwin of Al Wasl club, all the people whose guidance has helped Ehsan achieve his success. Speaking to Team Mangalorean Rajesh K, Mr. Ibrahim was overwhelmed by his son's success and mentioned that he is waiting for the day when his son will win gold at the Olympics and return to his hometown, Mangalore.

The father who knew basics of running from Indian Olympics star PT Usha and her practice schedule has given guidance to his son to do a beach practice. The strict schedule helped a lot and Ehsan managed to complete 100 meters in 11.22 and 200 meters in 23.10 in the super senior category U 19 while he was still seventeen. Looking up to Bolt, Mike Powel and Ben Jhonson as his idols, Ehsan aspires to reach their level some day. An all rounder, Ehsan excels in Cricket, Karate and Swimming also but his favorite is Long Jump. Though he couldn't participate much in events outside UAE, he has managed to bag prizes at the Open All Karnataka State Athletic championship held in Bangalore and was awarded the best athlete award.

Ehsan was honored by Indian High school Chairman/ Vice chairman for his excellent performance at the CBSE national Athletic meet held in Jaipur in 2009. He was also awarded the Pratibha Puraskar award in Abu Dhabi at the Karnataka Rajyotsava celebration in 2009 and 2010.

Ehsan says "My aim is to become an Olympic champion and win gold medal in 100 meters and 200 meters and long jump like Carl Lewis".

Letís all hope that Ehsan's dream comes true one day and will bring home Olympic medals to our won Kudla!

Mangalorean.com wishes Eshan success in all his future endeavors.
