Udupi January 22, 2011: Life is a journey and everyone desires to reach the destination with confidence, hope and self confidence which enables the individuals to reach their personal goal. Along with this one need to have courage and determination.
Pramila Pinto, the eldest daughter of Mr. Robert Pinto and Philomena Pinto was admitted to the Manasa Rehabilitaion and Training Centre Pamboor in 1998. From then onwards she has been actively participating in cultural activities and Sports and Games. This has helped her to tap the hidden talents. Opportunities are given when we make use of it and the benefits bring newness in our lives. Pramila Pinto with self esteem made use of the opportunity by participating in National Coaching and Championship Camp- Roller Skating at Hyderabad from 14th to 19th September 2009. She performed so well that she bagged the Gold Medal. This Championship Camp gave a new turn in her life, and she was selected as probable Athlete to attend the 4 Pre-Olympics selection and preparatory National Camps.
She attended the 1st Pre- Olympics Camp at Pondicherry from 12th to 18th June 2010. This Camp boosted her to keep up her enthusiasm and attended the Pre- Olympics preparatory Camp II Hyderabad 24th to 30th October-2010.
The vigor and the good performance enabled her to get selected to attend the Special Olympics World Summer Games, Athens, Greece in June 2011. At present she is preparing herself to participate in III Pre- Olympics Preparatory Camp from Feb 21st to 27th.
Pramila is gentle, loving and friendly. She possess the quality of attracting everyone with her smile and helps her companions very tenderly. She is also creative in crafts and making flowers.
Pramila credits her success to many people who have been helping her from behind the screen. She thanks the Principal Sr. Vinny Gonsalves for assuring her social and financial support from the Management and constant encouragement and Physical Educator Miss. Shiny M.C. and teaching and non teaching staff for the training she has received. The loving company of her classmates and friends are really uncountable, she says.
