Kuwait: World No Tobacco Day (WNTD) is observed around the world every year on May 31.
The day is dedicated to drawing global attention to the widespread prevalence of tobacco use and to its negative health effects, which currently lead to 5.4 million deaths worldwide annually.
The member states of the World Health Organization (WHO) introduced the World No Tobacco Day in 1987.
To spread awareness about the negative effects of tobacco consumption, Kuwait India Fraternity Forum (KIFF) has arranged to distribute leaflets in public places across the Kuwait.
The activists of KIFF will meet the general public and convey the anti-tobacco message. |
