Mangalore / Kasaragod: Mangalore-based advocate B Subbayya Rai has been appointed president of the Kerala Tulu Academy by the government of Kerala. He hails from Ichlampady in Kumbla and is the son of former Kasaragod MP I Rama Rai.
Other appointees are Manjunath Alva Kodiamme - secretary, Kasaragod district collector - ex-officio treasurer, honorary ex-officio executive members MP P Karunakaran and MLA P B Abdul Razaq and other members Chandrashekhar Rao Belloor, Sundar Arikkadi, Keshava Prasad Nanihitlu, Hameed Kunhali Paivalike, Prabhakar Naik Varkady, Raghuram Alva Master Pallatadka, K Shivarama Alva Adva, Adoor Umesh Naik, Geeta Loknath Shetty Kumbla, T Ahmed Kunhi Daigoli, Shyamprasad Seetangoli, Chandrahasa Rai, A R Subbayya Katte, Vasanta Master Paivalike and Balakrishna Tantri Delampady.
Subbayya Rai is currently general secretary of Kasaragod DCC.
