Chikmagalur: The car that Udupi-Chikmagalur Lok Sabha member Korgi Jayaprakash Hegde travelled in met with a mishap near Balehonnur on Sunday, June 10 morning. However, Hegde escaped unhurt.

He had earlier cast his vote in the MLC election at 8-15 am in the government PU college in Kundapur and proceeded to Chikmagalur on work. Another car is said to have hit his vehicle. Speaking to Mangalorean.com correspondent, Hegde himself confirmed that there was no injury to him.
