Doha, State of Qatar: As the 7th Bin Ghalib Floodlit Cricket Tournament 2012, Division-II Al Shaqab and Metabo had a closely contested encounter with Al Shaqab just managing to win by 2 wickets with 3 balls to spare.

Electing to bat Metabo lost early wickets and were struggling at 20 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the first 6 overs. Thereafter Shaji scoring 21 runs with 1 six and 2 boundaries saw Metabo being all out for 69 runs in the 11.2 overs. Renil was the only batsman to reach double figure of 11 runs.

Kundan, Amjad and Parvez took 2 wickets each while Sabir, Jabbar, Amjad, Mohfooz and Mashook took a wicket each.

In reply Al Shaqab were in a real bad shape losing 7 wickets in the first 6 overs and were struggling at 16 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. Sensible batting by Atique 16 runs with 2 Sixes and Momi remaining not out on 18 runs with 2 boundaries along with Parvez remaining not out on 12 runs saw Al Shaqab reach 73 runs in 11.3 overs.

Mahesh, Shanaka, Aman and Shaji took 2 wickets each while Yousef and Nishantha took a wicket each.
