Mangalore: Addressing the media in the district BJP office on Saturday June 16 , the district party president K Padmanabha Kottary said that in protest against the Union government's irresponsible financial decisions and wrong political decisions, the Bharatiya Janata Party had begun the Jansangharsh campaign on June 7 and it would go on till June 22.
Kottary said, "Besides, the UPA government has also hiked prices of fuel and basic commodities. On June 22, at all the BJP taluk centres in the district, the party workers will stage protests by blocking roads and thus promoting the 'Jail Bharo' campaign.



He further said that in the southwest graduates and teachers' constituencies, the BJP had retained the seats of Shankaramurthy and Capt Karnik. He thanked all the voters and party workers for making this possible.

He added, "The BJP also congratulates CM D V Sadananda Gowda for having made the right decision on government land grabbed by unauthorized persons. The land will now be given to the eligible persons based on their requests. We also thank the state ministers who were responsible for this."
