Dear readers,
Mr.K.S.Bhat being son of Public prosecutor you have better knowledge than us.Thanks for bring the point.
The police nab the culprits on the information that include the identity of the suspect. The suspect go through the identification process before the witness. If the case is sensitive and the dept.needs more leads to complete the process the hiding the identity is valid. All suspect has to go through the judgement after the case is closed by the police dept.If you hide the suspects face in the modern era everything depend on communication the dept. may miss some important leads from the willing witness sitting remotely.
If your point is valid there is serious loophole in the jurisdiction which needs to be corrected.
If you remember earlier days during British Raj if uttered Police means people will fear and later suspect will appear with slate in hand. These days no fear and enjoy the status of celebrities.

I dont understand why on earth the faces are masked. People, have the right to know, see & view who these devils are for their own safety. They should be paraded openly in the public, shaved their heads bald & should endure hard work in the paddy fields.
Long live our Indian Justice System |

Namaskara.
I see these comments objecting to cover the face of the accused by police has appeared many a times in this EYT forum.
The faces are covered as required by law to strengthen the prosecution case. Otherwise in the identification of the accused in court by witnesses, the defence lawyer would point out to magistrate that the accused photos were already published in the media & hence the identification of accused by prosecution "tutored" witnesses does not have any legal standing.
Being son of a late Public Prosecutor, I can state this authentically that it is the main reason that these accused pictures are not published or given to the media by the police [as instructed to them by the public prosecutors]. |

These robbers are very well fed by their looks. "Undu thind-d gatti uller"
Why can't they help poor farmers in ploughing the field instead of stealing?
Law must punish them with rigorous hard work in paddy fields since this season is good for it! |

| please dont cover the criminals faces. Once exposed, we can know if they have committed crime before and escaped. Who knows if this is just a hoax from the cops???? We need to know so dont cover Police people. |
