Kuwait: The Indian Muslim Association (IMA), under the patronage of the grand mosque, Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic affairs, organized a public discourse on Al-Isra Wal M’iraj’ in Jamiyatul Islah auditorium at Rawda here recently.
The function started after the Isha prayers with the recitation of Holy Qur’an following its translation in Urdu language by Hafiz Mohammed Owais. Assistant director of IPC Engineer Abdul Aziz Al-Duaij was the chief guest of the function. He called for Islamic reform in the attitude of Muslims. He further stressed that the good deeds (Amaal-e-Saleha) are the key to the success in this world and afterworld (Akherat).











Noted Islamic scholar Hafiz Hafiz-ur-Rahman delivered a speech on the subject of the message of Al-Isra Wal M’iraj, mentioning hadiths about people being punished for various types of sins. He said, 'We should remember these narrations and should stay away from such sins."
He particularly explained the role of Salah and said, “Muslims are ordered to pray five times daily and in return they reap the benefits of paradise. It is a duty for every Muslim to perform the prayers at their prescribed times regularly.”
A brief presentation highlighting the importance of 14 commandments of social reform mentioned in chapter bani Isarel of Quran. A question-and-answer session was conducted by noted Islamic scholar of Islam Presentation Committee (IPC) Maulana Sifat Alam. The function was attended by several hundred men and women. |
