Kuwait: Sami Bubere, the visiting Patron of Indo-Kuwait Friendship Society met Chief of the Bohra Community in Kuwait H.E. Shaikh Aamil. The Chief was appointed by Sayid Mohammadu Burhanuddin, the spiritual leader of India’s more than one million Dawoodi Bohra community. Sayid Mohammadu Burhanuddin who had visited Kuwait earlier had meetings with the Amir of Kuwait H.H. Shaikh Sabah Ahamed Al-Sabah.
Bubere visited His Excellency Shaikh Aamil’s offices in Salmiya and exchanged their views related to community issues and friendly relationship. The Dawoodi Bohra community is known worldwide for their various projects, including philanthropic efforts, hospitals, schools, and renovations and restorations of Islamic and Shi'a Islamic landmarks. They have a very small, tight-knit community made up of approximately one million adherents worldwide, with the majority of adherents residing in India. There is a significant diaspora population in the Middle East, Europe, North America and the Far East.

Sami, an active member of various Inter-faith dialogues also represents as the Chief Editor of NRI English magazine “Indo-Gulf Times” and “Subhe Ummed” urdu magazine is also the peace maker had extensive meetings with various cultural associations in Kuwait. IKFS President Dr. Ghalib Al-Mashoor also was accompanied during the meeting by H.E. Shaikh Aamil . Dr. Al-Mashoor said that Sami sahib has organized the inter-faith conference in Mumbai by the Sahyog Cultural Society in association with Milli Forum and Abdul Hamid Bubere Memorial, in order to promote friendship and tolerance among different religious people in India and all over the world.
