Qatar: Pallonji Team and Hanan Team registered their wins in the ongoing 2nd QATAR TEC flood light cricket tournament , being organized by Qatar Tec at Old IIS grounds. In the inaugural match,  Pallonji team beat Janjira team, where Akil of pallonji  was adjudged as Man of the Match. In the Second match, Hanan XI beat the Kerala XI by 6 wickets.

Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by  Chidanand , General Manager – M.Pallonji, Qatar. He was accompanied by Qatar Veteran Cricket officials and Qatar Tec organizing team.

Total of twelve teams are participating in the tournament . They are divided into 4 categories The Finals are scheduled for 8th July, 2012.

Brief scores:

Kerala XI 91 for 6 in 12 overs ( Imran 2 for 11, Shafi 2 ofr 21 )  lost to Hanan XI 95 for 4 in 7 overs. ( Raja 29, Nadeem 27. Zainu 2 for 29 ). Man of the match – Raja of Hanan XI.

Rawal County 151 for 9 in 12 overs ( Asif 33, Israr 37. Daniel 4 for 16 )   beat Deccan Chargers Lagaan 103 all out in 11.1 overs ( Ifzal 31. Akram 2 for 10, Murad 2 for 27, Faisal 2 for 24, Naeem 2 for 14 ). Man of the match – Israr of Rawal County.

Ceylon Youth 112 for 8 in 12 overs ( Aman 46, Nuwan 29. Indika 2 for20, Aslam 2 for 19 ) lost to Qatar Tec 114 for 3 in 10.4 overs ( Niyamat 29, Aslam 22, Mohammed Milhan 44 ) Man of the match – Mohammed Milhan of Qatar Tec.
