Udupi:
Udupi Sri Krishna Math's Brahma Rath (the chariot) needs renovation work to be done over its disintegration with constant use all these years, it is learnt.  Paryaya Sri Sode Vadiraj Math Sri Vishwa Vallabha Thirtha Swamiji  has taken up its renovation work and the work is in brisk progress already.

The Brahma Rath being about 250 years old, it has disintegrated over its constant use now. When Paryaya Sri Pad took up this onerous duty of renovation work of the chariot, it necessitated an expense of about 30 lacs estimation, and it could be even closer to 1 crore,  according to Balkur Gopala Acharya, Kashta Shilpi (the architect).

It is hoped to retain the ancient exterior structures, changing  the internal parts giving the Brahma Rath new dimensions now as envisaged by  Paryaya Sri Vishwavallbha Theertha Swamiji.

Balkur Gopal Acharya  architect In-charge  said to mangalorean.com 50-60 skilled craftsmen involved totally in the renovation work of the chariot, and  will finish the renovation work entirely by November.
