Mangalore:
President of Vokkaligara Yane Gowdara Seva Sangha (R) S N Narayana Gowda demanded the BJP high command to reinstate D V Sadananda Gowda as Chief Minister of Karnataka , and in case if they are firm with their decision to make Jagadish Shettar as the Chief Minister then DVS should get the Deputy Chief Minister post.

Narayana Gowda was speaking in a press meet held at the press club, Urva here on July 10. He further said that the BJP high command called DVS to Delhi and convinced him to resign from the Chief minister post. Bowing to the mounting pressure of former chief minister B.S. Yeddyurappa and his supporters for a change in the party leadership, the BJP high command has decided to replace Gowda with Shettar with an eye on the next state legislative assembly elections in May 2013.

He further said that the main cause of all the political twist is Shobha Karndlaje where she was the guiding force to Yeddyurappa. When scam-hit Yeddyurappa resigned on July 31  and appointed DVS as chief minister, he wanted to come back and get back the CM seat, when it was out of his reach, Shobha initiated a new drama to remove DVS from Chief ministership.  Shobha is the guiding force behind Yeddyurappa.  Yeddyurappa inspite of being accused in a number of crimes, wants everyone to respect him which did not happen.

Sadananda Gowda has given a transparent governance in his 11 months of tenure as CM.  He has provided a corruption free government. Today he is paying a heavy price for being a vokkaliga. Narayana, also demanded the immediate termination of Shobha Karandlaje from her post and party. Hailing from DK district she has not done any work for the development of the district.

Narayana also said that Shobha will not get any support from us, because she is the main cause for DVS resignation. If the  BJP is day dreaming that it will come into power in next assembly poll with Shettar as Chief minister, it will remain a dream, he said. If Sadananda Gowda will get the DCM post then it is possible to compromise and accept Jagadish Shettar as Chief Minister.

The Vokkaligas also demanded the high command not to accept resignation from DVS. If replaced with Shettar, DVS should be made the DCM or the State president of BJP and should also clarify the reason for forcing DVS to resign from the CM post.  Vokkaligas should get more opportunities in the cabinet.  If the demands were not be met, the BJP will face huge loses in the coming days, he warned.

Former president Vokkaligara Yane gowdara Seva Sangha, Lokayya Gowda, Treasurer D P Sadananda Gowda, Former President P Vasudeva Gowda were also present.

“There should two political parties in Karnataka.
Karnataka Vokkaliga Party (KVP)
Karnataka Lingayat Party (KLP) “ – Krishna

Sadly, he is right and his post summarizes the current state of our politics in Karnataka!! These two groups have always fought each other for the power. The CM is always from one of these groups with a few exceptions – Example: Rama Krishna Hegde, Gundu Rao (both brahmanas).

I can't understand why DVS should accept lower post as DCM? He should be CM and Shettar should be DCM and not DVS. What is going in BJP? What sort of a drama is this? First of all they never allowed minority to vote !! Secondly all sorts of drama they are doing!! Where are Karnakata people who voted for BJP what are they doing!! Wake up Karnataka do something!!
