Udupi: A male corpse was found in fifth cross, Nayapalli, Santhekatte, Kalyanpur here on Tuesday, July 10 at around 3. 30p.m.  The identity of the person is not yet known.
Circumstantial evidence suggests that it is a case of murder. According to the police, the age of the person appears to be around 25 to 30 years of age.

The deceased was found wearing a red T shirt and Bermuda. Recalling the murder of a veteran lady Radhu Karkera in Ammunje, the police have already nabbed one of the culprit and the other one is on the run. The police who were on trail of the absconding culprit in the nearby forest found a male body.

Empty liquor bottles and a mobile sim was recovered from the spot. According to the police the male corpse could be that of the other culprit who was absconding after the murder of the old lady.

A case has been registered in Malpe police station. The police are waiting for the post mortem report to confirm the identity of the deceased.  Udupi DySP Dr Prabhudev Mane. Udupi Town Station CPI Girish and Malpe SI visited the spot.
