Udupi : With Jagadish Shettar assuming office as Chief Minister of Karnataka, has Kota Srinivas Poojary has been sworn in as one of the cabinet Minister also. With this the position left vacant with the sudden demise of Dr. VS Acharya seems to have been filled by a suitable candidate now.
Being a disciple of Dr. VS Acharya, walking along the directions offered by Sri AG Kodgi, President of the Third Financial Implementation Commission, Kota Srinivas Poojary has been quite a simple, unassuming person.
Born in 1960, to Annappa and Lacchi Poojarthy, he is happily married to Shantha, having three children Swathi, Shashidhar & Shruthi in a village side in Kota In 1993 he worked as a member of Grama Panchayath and as its Vice President.
In 1995, he was the member of Taluk Panchayath, in 2006 he was the member of Zilla Panchayath, and in 2010, he became the MLC elected unanimously. During 2007-2012 he served as BJP President too.
When Mangalorean.com contacted over the phone for his reactions, he said : "I never ever in my wildest dreams have thought that I would become a Minister. I extend my sincerity to the Party, and the blessings of the Chief Minister and all Seniors. In the event of the death of Dr. VS Acharya, the dear departed, I will work all round the year for the development of Udupi District and will make the dreams of Late VS Acharya a reality with the co-operation of all MLAs and Party workers". | |

i pray and hope that the grievances of simple dedicated honest hardworking and devoted poor farmers are addressed in time making their way of living fearless . long pending settlements of land reform are finalized awarding agricultural land to farmers who lost land due to cunning and crooked land grabbers, thus promoting long lasting life supporting one and only organic agriculture . justice to poor dalit farming families which undergone atrocities losing their farmland by forcibly vacating during implementation of land reforms is given .
i hope that this simple minister will continue selfless public service for the welfare of the poor farmers ensuring safe secured and better tomorrows .

| I am thrilled to know that Sri Kota Srinivasa Poojary, a lone minister from Billava community, has been chosen to be the minister and that now he has got the Mujarai portfolio. I hope he will stand clean and upright in the months to come. May God give him strength to serve the people of Karnataka in general and Tulu Nad in particular. Please make sincere efforts to make the tuluvas proud like our Sadananda Gowda. There is a lot to do in the mujarai dept also. Please make some efforts to develop the Koti Chennaya Garadies all over Tulunad. |

At last very simple,clean and dedicated party worker in cabinet.I met Mr. Poojary in his small studio in the year 1997 after my Engg garduation. Unique pesonality with clean image. He is the correct choice for minister instead of all money making MLA's of Costal. |
