|

|
| | Published Date: 13 Jul, 2012 (4:08 PM) | | Team Mangalorean Udupi Udupi: Haladi Srinivas Shetty, MLA of Kundapur Constituency has been cheated by his own Party having invited him to Bangalore to take oath as a Minister. The decision had been repealed by certain tactics or manipulations, it is learnt. In the light of the bitter experience that Haladi experienced, he has decided to resign from his MLA status, and also evacuate his room in the Legislators' Home effective immedialtely, and is ready to return home soon.

Speaking with media persons in Bangalore Haladi said: " I never had been an aspirant to Ministership, I never indulged in lobby making Politics, nor did I wanted to identify with any group as such. I left for Bangalore with the invitation from leaders of the Party on Wednesday night. But they insulted me, I am deeply hurt", saying this he expressed his resolution to resign tendering his resignation letter to the Speaker. Haladi's admirers, Party Workers condemning the kind of treatment meted out to their leader by the Party itself, had earlier called for a Kundapur Bund, the Bundh effect reached even to Udupi, with no buses plying on streets. About 3000 of his supporters assembling at Kundapur Shastri Circle staged Rasta Roko, during which the police had a tough time in controlling the furious mob. Condemning the insult meted out to Halaldi Srinivas Shetty, many MLAs, District's district, taluk & grama panchayath members have expressed their decision to quite their positions as a mark of protest to the high handedness of the Party. | |

I am sorry to say Mr. Shetty, you are not fit for politics. Your ideology, dedication, and humbleness to help the people is the politics of 50 years old. The days have gone, now people are contesting election to make plenty of money, fame and seat.
Dont you see how the people made their own groups and lobbied. Now a days this common politics is played even at the office levels.
To conclude, I am not saying you are wrong you should also get corrupt. You will succeed only if you make yourself counted. The insult you met is really very bad, dont run from the situation. Counter your own governments action by openly critising the wrong doings including the lobbies, in media and also all other wrong actions which would be going to happen in comming days.
If you dont like the above, then you have to make your resignation count, make a alliance with the other non happy members and all Karavali MLA's as they stated openly that they will support you and topple the government.
The so called Elite people should know we mangaloreans will not tolerate this kind of bad politics.
Let this be a lesson to all political parties and politician that good people are also as powerfull as lobbying bad taste, corrupt politicians.
All the best.

| Mr Halady Srinivas Shetty has taken wise decision, I hope BJP will never again come to power in the State. For this Mr Yediyoorappa is directly responsible. People who supported BJP are disgusted. |

| Mr. Shetty - There are no more slots in the ministry. You will have to wait for Yeddy to turn against Shettar and trigger a new rebellion. |
