Udupi: "I will not allow Haladi Srinivas Shetty to leave the Party for any reasons whatsoever. Every effort will be done to retain him in the Party ", said Kota Srinivas Poojary, the new Minister in the Shettar Cabinet.
He was speaking with media persons when he came to Udupi the first time after being sworn in as Minister.
"Haladi Srinivas Shetty is displeased over the incident that happened during the swearing in ceremony, so he has resigned. I will discuss with him as an ordinary party worker over these matters", he said.

To the question that "people hold the view that Mujarai Ministers never get back again, once the term is over", Kota Srinivas Poojary replied "as you said that is just a belief, so I don't have anything to say on that ". With the co-operation of the devotees, the temples those coming under the purview of Mujari, are contemplated to be converted centres of devotion & religiosity. Converting temples into A & B category, C category temples have contemplated to be lifted for the higher cadre. Altogether a total of 34,226 temples coming under the State Mujarai Department purview, categorization has been done as under those temples earning more than 25 lac income annually are rated B Category. 183 temples coming under this category would undergo total transformation for its up-gradation. Those temples earning less than 5 lac annually are rated C Category. It has been contemplated to upgrade the maintenance of the cleanliness of C Graded temples, so also Pooja methods are also contemplated to be groomed. Also it would be found out whether the Yearly Fee is higher and if that has been hampering the progress of the temple for its up-gradation in any way, he said.
To the question over "Made Made Snana" Poojary replied : "I had participated in the discussion as MLC then. I will examine the views of the emotional devotees, so that the Govt can interfere and try to find solution to solve this issue". |
