From Fr. Richard Vaz SVD

Techny, Illinois, USA :Our great missionarian Fr. Jerome (Jerry) Ziliak, SVD passed away peacefully at Divine Word Residence (Techny, Waukegan, Illinois, USA) at 10:20 pm, Tuesday, July 17, 2012. Many of you during your visit to Techny might have had the chance of meeting with him. He was a gentle and cheerful priest. He was ready for this moment to move into his eternal home.

Fr. Ziliak had dedicated his 50 plus years to serve the people in India along with his classmate, Fr. Felix Eckerman who was at his bed side when he was called to heaven. Now he rests in peace and receives his reward in heaven with our almighty God.
The wake service will be on Monday, July 23 at 7.00pm and the Funeral will be on Tuesday, July, 24 at 10.00am in the Chapel of the Holy Spirit, Techny Towers.
He has a huge family and so I expect many of them to be present to bid him a fitting farewell. Providentially there are two SVD Bishops from India who are on a visit to Techny.
